How to Exercise in Bed

Instructions

    • 1
Work on your arms. Two-pound weights can be found for purchase at most any department store. While lying in bed, do 10 reps of curls with each arm, working the bicep. Sit up in bed and do 10 reps with each arm, bringing the weights above your head.
    • 2
Do sit ups or toe touches. While crunches might be a little difficult to do in bed, you can still do a version of a sit-up or toe touches. Do 10, take a brief break, do 10 more, take another break and do 10, again.
    • 3
Lift your body. Lying flat on your back, tense your body up and push your torso up toward the ceiling. Do 10 reps of this twice.
    • 4
Do leg lifts. Still lying flat on your back, raise each leg, straightened, above your head in a series of 15 reps twice. Lie on your side and raise each leg above your head for a series of 15 reps each, and then repeat.
    • 5
Do stretches. Swing your left leg over the right side of your body, keeping your left arm extended out to the left of you. Stretch out. Hold this position for 20 seconds. Repeat in the other direction.

5 Ways You Can Get Fit Before This Summer

Clear out misconceptions
Fats are only burned through activities and that includes cardio exercise and other fat burning methods. You can’t decrease your belly size over crunches and sit ups and you won’t definitely see six packs with those alone. Cardio exercise is the best way to lose fat in general. With cardio you can shed off those extra pounds and feel the difference not only when you get on the scale but also in overall body size and appearance. Don’t be fooled, there is no miracle diet or magic pill that can just get rid of stomach fat overnight. Losing fat may take time and the speed would depend on the diet you are following and the intensity of exercises you perform.

Plan ahead
Absolutely plan ahead and make daily plans as well. Try to make your daily plans as specific as possible with details on what to eat, when to eat and number of calories consumed. Use one of the free BMR calculators and calculate your Basic Metabolic Rate and base your plans around that figure. Make sure youíre doing a lot more fat burning activities while having less calorie intake.
Proper diet
You will have to maintain a balanced diet and this means consuming food with a good protein source like beans, nuts, tofu, green veggies, also high fiber carbs like whole grains, and healthy fats from olive oil. All of these food items are essential for a well-balanced diet which keeps fat intake to 30% and with carbs and protein evenly distributed in 35%.Since you are aiming in losing weight and fat in general, do not forget the leading role of fresh fruits and vegetables. These are full of fibre which can give you a feeling of fullness for longer time and they contain fewer calories in a high nutrient package.

Sports and Exercise
Cardio and aerobic exercise can be in a form of sports and recreation. You choose whatever you like as long as you consistently do it. This means that a suggested daily 30 minutes to an hour brisk walk or jog is important in trimming your belly fat but if you really can’t find the time for 30 continuous minutes you can do this evenly throughout the day. Have 10 minute brisk walk after each meal and you can add up your 30 minutes by the end of the day. Be creative and always think on ways on how to lose weight more naturally.
Keep your heads up
Motivation is a key factor in losing fat as well as achieving any goal in life. Finding your target and focusing your energy towards that target will keep you motivated. Always start your day with a little imagination and picture yourself having reached your goals. Visualizing your success would help you start a fun belly losing day. You can also try the buddy system, where you have a partner who shares the same challenges, and together you work towards your goals. Or you can wear bracelets (or any other gadget) to act as a reminder of your aspirations.

What Is A Superset?

A superset is two exercises performed back to back with minimal rest between exercises to increase workout intensity. Supersets are also a great technique for increasing muscle size, as they boost the release of anabolic hormones like testosterone, which is responsible for muscle growth. In addition, you will reduce the amount of time you spend in the gym, as you will be working two muscle groups (for example chest and back) within the same set. Make sure to move as quickly as possible between exercises of the superset. Rest one to two minutes between supersets. Increase the weight used whenever possible, but not at the expense of good form. You shouldn't use super sets for more than six consecutive weeks at a time because of the high intensity involved.

Do You Have To Workout EveryDay?

It depends on what your workout consists of. the higher the
intensity of exercise the greater the central nervous system
is taxed. it is the CNS that requires a greater recovery
period as skeletal muscle can recover in 48 hours of less.
only those that participate in heavy resistance training need
to take days off. those that use light weights or just say
walk for exercise can do so daily.

TOP 11 things not to do at the gym

With a lot of hot and sweaty people in such a small place all clamoring for the same equipment, it’s important to practice good gym etiquette.
To that end, here are 11 things that you should never do at the gym:
  1. Passing in between an exerciser and the mirror. People use the mirror as an aid while lifting to ensure that their posture and balance are maintained. Cutting in between someone that is exercising and the mirror is a big no-no – and downright rude.
  2. Neglecting to wipe down equipment after use. Be kind; don’t leave your sweat behind. There are few things grosser than leaning back on a piece of equipment and landing in a sweat puddle. Use a paper towel and spray to sanitize the equipment after each use.
  3. Resting on the equipment. If the gym is busy and people might be waiting for your equipment, don’t take breaks on it. Even if there’s no line, it doesn’t mean that no one is waiting; someone may be eying your machine while killing time on another.
  4. Don’t monopolize a busy gym by using multiple pieces of equipment. If the gym isn’t crowded, there’s nothing wrong with rotating sets between two different machines. But if you’re exercising during a peak time or if people might be waiting, opt for one machine at a time.
  5. Talking to someone during a set. Yes, socializing is an important aspect of the gym for many – but be considerate of other exercisers. Talking while lifting can be a big distraction. Likewise, if someone is sprinting on the treadmill, they won’t have the breath to talk to you.
  6. Don’t talk loudly on your cell phone. People that talk loudly on a cell phone probably don’t realize that they’re doing it – and you may be one of them. If you need to take a call, excuse yourself from the facilities.
  7. Don’t cut the circuit training line. If your gym has exercise machines, note that there is probably an order to the way people use them. Many gyms number their machines or post a flow chart. Be mindful of other exercisers, and don’t hop on the machine in front of someone.
  8. Don’t wear unwashed gym clothes. I know people think it’s fine to wear gym shirts and shorts more than once. The truth is, if you don’t sweat – you probably can. But for everyone else, please spare us the odor of yesterday’s workout. If you sweat in it, wash it.
  9. Don’t spit, snot or blow your nose in the drinking fountain. Enough said, thank you.
  10. Don’t leave weight plates on the equipment. Gyms don’t have maids. There is no one to pick up after you. And remember, putting the weights away makes you strong, too.
  11. Don’t be the creepy guy (or gal) at your gym. Unless, of course, the creepiness is reciprocated by the other party. If your inquiring eyes or comments are not returned, save the flirtation for eharmony or manhunt.

How to get a flat stomach

1  Eat healthier and cut down junk food, such as replacing sweets and chips withfruits. You'll see a world of difference.

2  Eat lots of lean protein (like beans and nuts - have some meat, it is rather good for you as long as you do not eat the fat!), fruits and dark vegetables, and whole grain breads and grains. If you eat "whole wheat" it's like the same as eating white bread; except with white bread all the good fibers have been stripped away. These "whole grains" keep you fuller longer than white breads like cakes, cookies, and sweets. Also, stay away from high-fat dairy products (low-fat dairy products are a great source of protein and vitamin B6).

3  Eat smaller meals a day. To get a flat stomach you should eat many small meals throughout the day. Eat just enough until you feel full; don't overeat!

4  Eat food raw. This is to avoid the loss of enzymes that result from cooking food, which also decreases its nutritional value.

5  Make sure you don't eat anything 2 hours before you sleep. Your body slows down when you sleep so you can't digest food properly. And if you go to bed really late, don't eat past 9:30 pm, because foods eaten late are normally stored as fat.

6  Drink plenty of water. You should replace it with all your regular beverages, especially soda and sugared drinks. Water will make it easier to lose weight.

7  Do aerobic exercises daily at 30 minutes minimum and include 1-2 days of rest break each week. Anything that brings your heart rate up. Take up dancingrunning, tae-bo, swimming, cycling and walking at a good pace.

8  To better work the entire abdominal region, vary your exercises: Crunches work the upper abdomen, leg raises work the lower abdomen, side bends work the obliques (also known as love handles).

9  Do cardio exercise. Cardio exercises are best as they will heat up your core temperature and improve circulation, both of which will aid you in acquiring a flat stomach.

10  include plyometrics. Plyometrics are exercises that require explosive power. They are not just cardio, but strength training as well.

11 Strength training. This will improve your muscular tone as well as increase your metabolism so you'll burn calories faster over time. Best strength training exercises (that don't require a gym or weights) include:
  • Push-ups
  • Pull-ups  tree)
  • Squats
  • Lunges
  • leg lifts
  • crunches
12  Raising your metabolic rate is crucial. The higher your metabolic rate, the more energy (and thus fat)
