Quinoa benefits

Quinoa is a power food #vegetable seed related to spinach, Swiss chard & beets, and not a grain as most people think! Here are its #health benefits
1. High quality protein: rich in 9 amino acids, thus its protein balance is similar to #milk.
2. Great source of Riboflavin: helps reduce migraine attacks, by improving energy metabolism within the brain & #muscle cells.
3. The Inca warriors had more stamina & better recovery time because their diets were rich in #Quinoa.
4. The saponins from quinoa help promote healing of skin.
5. Not fattening: Only 172 calories per 1/4 cup dry (24 of the calories from protein, only 12 from sugar, the rest are complex carbs, fiber and healthy fat).
6. Gluten-free.
7. Smart Carb: it is a simple complex #carbohydrate with a low glycemic index, so it won't increase your blood #sugar!

LDL stands for low-density lipoprotein. It's also sometimes called "bad" cholesterol. Lipoproteins are made of fat and protein. They carry cholesterol, triglycerides, and other fats, called lipids, in the blood to various parts of the body.
HDL stands for high-density lipoprotein. It's also sometimes called "good" cholesterol. Lipoproteins are made of fat and protein. They carry cholesterol, triglycerides, and other fats, called lipids, in the blood from other parts of your body to your liver.

If you eat unhealthy foods (trans fats, junk food, high in sodium etc) you increase LDL, blood pressure and systemic inflammation, if you do no exercise you decrease HDL levels. High LDL low HDL increase risk of heart disease because LDL gets oxidized and builds up under your blood vessel wall - curtain (the endothelium). This causes plaques that can break and cause clotting (thrombosis) leading to claudication, stroke or heart attacks.

When you eat an egg (including yolk) you eat a hefty amount of cholesterol, therefore increasing LDL in blood. But your body needs that, cholesterol - after all - stabilizes cell membranes and is used to produce many important hormones such as testosterone and estradiol.

So how many eggs are too many? Limit it to 1 - 2 yolks a day as your daily allowance of cholesterol. Eggs have a lot of cholesterol, you can eat more egg whites however.

So remember, HDL/LDL is produced inside the body, we just consume cholesterol which is then transported by these molecules.

I have slow metabolism?

Exercise is what you want.
Working out & Cardio - both will increase the speed of your metabolism. Working out especially, can boost your metabolism for 24 hours + because of how much energy it takes your body to rebuild your muscles after they've been broken down & all the nutrients it has to send towards that process.
That's the best way.
Other than that, try getting more protein in your diet. Your body has to burn calories to digest calories...even digesting food takes energy. Your body has a harder time digesting protein than it does carbs or fat...because of this it burns more calories when a higher % of your diet is made up of protein. Proteins also good for keeping you full, in general its very handy on a diet!
Try getting more active also. A person who stands up all day is going to be burning quite a few calories than someone who sits down for most of it. A lot of people with high metabolisms do these kind of things naturally.....mess around with things in their hands even while sitting down. Anything that causes activity will burn calories, even the small things. It all adds up in the end !

What do estrogen do?

First of all there are all kinds of hormones in the body. Hormones are "chemical messengers" meaning the presence of certain hormones tells parts of your body what to do. Estrogen is in both males and females. in males it helps sperm cells to mature. in females it tells your secondary sex characteristics to develop (breast, start period), effects your metabolism, mood, bone, and more. When you ovulate (release an egg) estrogen levels increase .

What does Lemon Water do for you?

Lemon water is truly beneficial in any beauty care regimen.

Lemon and water both have clarifying actions in your body. Both lemon and water help flush out toxins in your system. Although lemons are acidic, they are alkalizing in your body.
•Lemon water helps clean the toxins out of your body. Your skin can't look healthy if your body is holding onto toxins! When you get rid of toxic waste in your system, your skin will show it first! Your skin will be the first thing you notice cause it looks clear and not sallow and full of acne. However, that's not all the benefits that lemons provide for us! (Another healthy way to get rid of toxins that hold onto your fat and cause visceral fat, is by doing a health cleanse!)

Need to lose weight but not from breasts?

You can't spot weight loss. Its nearly impossible to lose weight without losing any off your breasts. In the majority of women, their breasts are not just breast tissues but also fatty tissues. When you lose weight, naturally the weight will be taken from your breasts as well. However, as your cup size is quite large, when you do lose weight, you wont have to worry about them getting too small as to be that cup size, it will mainly be breast tissue.

I'm not losing weight?

Sometimes, when you hit puberty, your body wants to cling onto body fat so it makes it harder to lose weight. However, the majority of what your body hold onto during puberty is fluid so u may be losing body fat but the fluid is still in your body.Another factor to consider is how much u exercise. To lose weight, an hour of exercise is required.
You may not necessarily lose kilos, or pounds, you may lose inches of weight.
It really depends on your body type, every one s body is different.
Good effort, keep it up!!! You are working hard and you deserve to see results. If you keep at it you will soon.
